This position is a permanent, full-time Nursing Assistant (NA) scheduled for 8 hours during evening shifts and eligible for a sign-on bonus.

- Serve as caregiver to assigned residents during the scheduled work period in long-term care.
- Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Deliver age-appropriate care related to residents' physical and psychological needs per care plan.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control policies and personal protective equipment (PPE) use.
- Assist with basic health-care needs, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support.
- Assist residents with transferring, repositioning, walking, and performing range-of-motion and passive exercises using correct transfer techniques.
- Prepare meals and dining, creating a positive dining experience; assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements.
- Aid providers and nursing staff with procedures when needed; document interactions and outcomes related to resident care.
- Communicate changes in residents' condition and care concerns to the charge nurse.
- Provide housekeeping and laundry services to maintain clean living areas.
- Assist with wellness and recreational programs, encouraging resident participation.
- High school graduate or GED preferred (not required).
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing within four months of starting the position, or enrollment in a training program or process of obtaining certification through endorsement; training and certification provided by the facility.
- Successfully completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits.
- May classify as Sanford Category II Driver; requires a valid motor vehicle license and compliance with Sanford Driving Policy.
