We're looking for Pre‑Op RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Aberdeen, SD. The right RN should have 1‑2 years' recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements.
As a Pre‑Op Travel Nurse, you will administer pre‑surgery medicine if necessary, evaluate admission documents, identify emergency procedures, and adhere to necessary pre‑operation policies and procedures. Pre‑Op RNs will coordinate nursing care to include the collection and analysis of assessment data in determining nursing diagnoses, identification of expected outcomes, and development of a plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and other interdisciplinary team members as appropriate.
Tasks- Implement and evaluate patient care plans based on patient assessment.
- Provide basic bedside care.
- Provide IV therapy.
- Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
- Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
Pre‑Op Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to lift 20 pounds easily. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds y must be able to cope with stress and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
RequirementsACLS, BLS, 2 Years
