A rural acute-care healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, emotionally demanding environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
Minimum Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
- Strong clinical, assessment, and documentation skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow efficiently
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Commitment to patient-centered and restorative care
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math proficiency for medication administration and documentation
- Ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and team members
- Strict adherence to patient confidentiality and privacy regulations (HIPAA compliance required)
- Accurately and promptly document patient care and charting
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments each shift for acute and swing-bed patients, and ongoing assessments for emergency patients
- Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary communication
- Transcribe and implement provider orders accurately
- Administer medications and treatments safely within required time frames
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly
- Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols
- Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing assistants and support staff
- Assist with onboarding and training of new staff
Support staffing needs and collaborate with team members - Attend required staff meetings and maintain compliance with organizational policies
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and adhere to dress code
- Complete required training and continuing education on time
- Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance
- Wear proper identification while on duty
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
- Uphold ethical standards and organizational policies
- Participate in safety, emergency preparedness, and infection control initiatives
- Represent the organization in a professional and positive manner
- Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Ability to lift and assist with moving patients (up to 75 lbs with assistance as needed)
- Continuous use of fine motor skills for clinical tasks
- Frequent pushing (e.g., wheelchairs, equipment)
