Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend. RNs work alongside another RN to provide 24/7 coverage with minimum staffing of 2 RNs plus support staff.
Highlights:- Critical Access Hospital setting with diverse patient care including Med/Surg, Emergency Department, and Outpatient services
- Dynamic daily float rotation across all departments providing varied clinical experience
- Small facility with 10 patient rooms averaging 4 patients per day; nurse-to-patient ratios typically 1:2 or 1:3, maximum 1:6
- EPIC charting system with modern equipment including Philips central monitor/telemetry and Lifepak 15
- Comprehensive orientation program tailored to individual needs, up to one week with both day and night shift exposure
- Opportunity to work as charge nurse in Emergency Department for qualified candidates
- Active Compact or South Dakota State RN License (must be active prior to submission)
- Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience
- Minimum 2 years Medical/Surgical experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
- Critical Access Hospital experience strongly preferred
- EPIC experience preferred
- Ability to perform typical RN procedures including IV starts, Foley catheter insertion, and emergency interventions
