Unarmed Security Officer
Location:
Aberdeen, SD
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 3:00 PM - 11PM
Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour
Overview:
We are seeking a dependable Unarmed Security Officer to support daily operations at an agricultural and processing-related facility. This is a full-time position with a consistent schedule.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct routine patrols of grounds, gates, and facility perimeters
* Monitor employee/visitor access and ensure only authorized individuals enter designated areas
* Observe and report any unusual, unsafe, or suspicious activity
* Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports
* Respond to alarms or disturbances in a calm and professional manner
* Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, medical needs, or safety alerts
* Uphold all company security protocols and maintain a visible, professional presence
* Communicate effectively with management and staff regarding security or safety matters
Requirements:
* Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work the day shift schedule
* Strong situational awareness and observation skills
* Ability to remain alert and attentive during long periods of standing or walking
* Professional communication and conflict-resolution abilities
* Previous security experience preferred but not required
* Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
* Must pass any required background checks
* Valid driver's license
