Location: Aberdeen, SD
Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday-Friday 3:00 PM - 11 PM
Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour
ResponsibilitiesOverview: We are seeking a dependable Unarmed Security Officer to support daily operations at an agricultural and processing-related facility. This is a full-time position with a consistent schedule.
- Conduct routine patrols of grounds, gates, and facility perimeters
- Monitor employee/visitor access and ensure only authorized individuals enter designated areas
- Observe and report any unusual, unsafe, or suspicious activity
- Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports
- Respond to alarms or disturbances in a calm and professional manner
- Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, medical needs, or safety alerts
- Uphold all company security protocols and maintain a visible, professional presence
- Communicate effectively with management and staff regarding security or safety matters
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work the day shift schedule
- Strong situational awareness and observation skills
- Ability to remain alert and attentive during long periods of standing or walking
- Professional communication and conflict-resolution abilities
- Previous security experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Must pass any required background checks
- Valid driver's license
Education Requirements (All)
- HS Diploma
- GED or H.S. Equivalent
Certification Requirements (All)
- Driver's License
