– £28,000 pa – £30,000 pa + excellent bonus and benefits

40 hours per week (5 days a week)

From world‑class race days to high‑profile conferences and bespoke events, we deliver exceptional experiences, and we’re now looking for a Logistics Assistant Conference & Events to play a key role behind the scenes. This is an exciting, hands‑on operational role for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced events environment, takes pride in precision and presentation, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative, high‑performing team.

As a Logistics Assistant, you will be instrumental in ensuring our event spaces and race‑day boxes are set to the highest standards. Working closely with the Conference & Events Operations team, you’ll ensure rooms are delivered on time, set correctly, and broken down efficiently, supporting the seamless delivery of exceptional guest experiences. You’ll work across departments, liaise with key stakeholders, and help maintain the impeccable standards expected at Ascot Racecourse.

What You’ll Do
  • Set up conference rooms, event spaces and race‑day boxes in line with SOPs and event specifications.
  • Coordinate the movement, storage and return of furniture, equipment and hired kit.
  • Ensure all spaces are guest‑ready, safe, tidy and presented to a high standard.
  • Support race‑day and non‑race‑day events with effective logistical planning.
  • Work closely with Ascot’s IT team to ensure AV equipment is correctly set and tested.
  • Follow weekly function sheets to plan workloads and anticipate operational challenges.
  • Receive and manage deliveries related to events and hospitality operations.
  • Support and oversee casual back‑of‑house staff, ensuring standards are met.
  • Assist with equipment stocktakes and identify replacement or repair needs.
  • Promote health, safety and environmental best practice at all times.
  • Adapt quickly to changing client requirements, offering practical solutions.
What You Bring
  • Essential:
  • Experience in events, banqueting or hospitality operations.
  • Strong communication skills with a professional, customer‑focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a busy environment.
  • Confidence liaising with clients and event organisers, including at senior level.
  • A strong eye for detail and commitment to quality.
  • Right to work in the UK without restriction.
  • Desirable:
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Experience working autonomously in an operational role.
  • Ability to prioritise and adapt in a fast‑moving events setting.
