Job Overview

We have a great opportunity for a Night Porter who will be the main point of contact for our guests during the night, variable hours available.

You will receive discretionary service charge and tips that can increase your pay up to £3000 per annum.

You will be working within the prestigious 4AA Red Star Country house. At the Cavendish Hotel you will often be the first & last person our guests meet, and your exemplary customer care standards will set the tone for the whole of the Hotel, ensuring our guests receive end to end first rate, friendly and efficient service.

Responsibilities
  • Answer telephone calls.
  • Check-in and check-out guests efficiently.
  • Process guest administration.
  • Handle payment transactions.
  • Answer customer enquiries.
  • Ensure public areas are presented to a high standard.
Qualifications
  • Excellent communicator, very proficient IT user and previous experience handling administration.
  • Organized and methodical in approach, skilled at prioritising workload to respond to guest needs efficiently.
  • Experience of a hotel reservation system (e.g. Rezlynx or Resdiary).
  • Awareness of industry standards and knowledge of the local area.
  • Any formal qualifications such as an apprenticeship or an NVQ would be advantageous.
Working Hours

This is a part-time position and flexibility is essential to be able to work varied shifts that include weekends, bank holidays, early starts and later finishes; generally 7am to 3.30pm, or 3pm to 11pm.
