Position Overview

This position supports operations by providing fit-for-service Plant & Equipment with the necessary certified validation. The role involves service and repairs as per company procedures, ensuring technical proficiency and safety compliance within the engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out inspection, repair, and maintenance of a wide variety of plant and equipment, including mechanical and hydraulic systems, within limits of authorisation and technical experience.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety through communication, behaviour, and actions, promoting safety during toolbox talks and risk assessments.
  • Document and report faults in a timely manner adhering to required standards.
  • Assist with safe loading/unloading of equipment as required and provide support to other depots or on-site locations as needed.
  • Repair and test client-owned equipment; conduct backload inspections and minor repairs.
  • Comply with the company’s environmental policy and plant management system (MCS) requirements; training will be provided as necessary.
  • Participate in safety briefings and observation card schemes, supporting continuous safety and operational improvement.
  • Undertake any required product training.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management, ensuring all work procedures are clearly understood and followed.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Technical Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
  • Good working knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical equipment.
  • Full driving license.
  • Desirable experience:
    Cengar, Atlas Copco, Universal Tools, Chicago Pneumatic; diesel motor and Enerpac training and service experience.
