HGV Technician

HGV Mechanic Aberdeen Salary 40k 32 days holiday INC bank holidays. Core hours Mon-Fri , 8:00 am - 4:30am. Overtime opportunities at time 1/2 Overview My client is a well-established vehicle dealership and service centre seeking experienced HGV Mechanics to join their workshop team. The role covers a broad range of work, from routine servicing and inspections through to advanced diagnostics, engine repairs, and MOT preparation.

Key Responsibilities Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and safety inspections on HGVs Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults Undertake engine repairs, gearbox work, and driveline repairs Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure compliance with DVSA standards Complete all job cards and workshop documentation accurately Work to manufacturer guidelines and workshop health & safety standards Support junior technicians where required Requirements Previous experience as an HGV / Commercial Vehicle Mechanic Relevant qualification (NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent) Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Full UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous but not essential) SER-IN
