Facilities Team Member

Pay:  £13.90 per hour

Days:  Monday – Friday

Hours:

7am – 3pm, 9am – 5pm on rotation

Key Responsibilities

Carry out general repairs and maintenance tasks across student accommodation buildings and communal areas.

Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and decorating repairs within competency levels.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff.

Diagnose faults and determine appropriate corrective actions.

Replace fixtures, fittings, locks, light bulbs, and other building components as required .

Skills

Previous experience in a handyman, maintenance operative, facilities, or building maintenance role.

Practical knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Basic understanding of health and safety requirements.
