The Fire Extinguisher & Mechanical Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the inspection, maintenance, and servicing of fire extinguishers and related mechanical fire safety systems. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Aberdeen, coordinating service schedules, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and supporting technicians in delivering high-quality work. Typical day-to-day tasks include supervising service teams, reviewing service reports, managing stock and equipment, and liaising with clients to plan and confirm visits.
The role also involves supporting risk assessment activities, helping maintain documentation for regulatory compliance, and contributing to continuous improvement of service processes. The manager works closely with senior leadership to uphold Realm’s commitment to safety, reliability, and excellent customer care.
Experience in managing fire extinguisher servicing and mechanical fire safety systems, with strong knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
- Background in service management or team leadership in a technical, engineering, or fire safety environment.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, including scheduling, resource allocation, and documentation control.
- Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and internal teams.
- Relevant technical or trade qualifications in fire protection, mechanical services, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in using basic office software and service management tools for reporting and record-keeping.
- Commitment to health and safety best practices and continuous professional development in fire safety and security.
- Valid driving licence and ability to work on-site across Aberdeen and the surrounding area as required.
