Support the Operations Team Lead to provide fit-for-purpose Plant & Equipment with appropriate validated certification. Carry out service and repairs in line with company procedures.
Responsibilities Primary Duties- Demonstrate commitment to safety through language, behaviour and actions.
- Demonstrate recognition and responsibility for the safety of colleagues and others on site.
- Promote and encourage team safety in Tool Box Talks and Risk Assessments.
- Good working knowledge and experience of pneumatic tooling.
- Carry out inspection, repair and maintenance of a wide variety of Plant & Equipment, including Mechanical and Hydraulic equipment, within the limits of authorisation and experience.
- Report and document faults in a timely manner and to the appropriate standard.
- Assist with and carry out the safe loading and unloading of equipment as required.
- Work on site or support other depots when required.
- Ensure all local work procedures are clearly understood and followed when working on other sites or depots.
- Repair and test customer-owned equipment.
- Undertake backload inspections and minor repairs.
- Report any faults and repair costs identified in tooling returned from customers.
- Undertake any product training required.
- Comply with the company's environmental policy.
- Work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with company safety plans, approved processes and procedures.
- Attend daily pre-start toolbox talks.
- Actively participate in safety and observation card schemes.
- Attend scheduled daily safety briefings.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by management.
Required Qualifications / Certification
- Technical Apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Good working knowledge of Hydraulic and Mechanical equipment.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Previous experience with Cengar, Atlas Copco, Universal Tools and Chicago Pneumatic.
- Diesel engine training and service experience.
- Enerpac training and service experience.
- Working knowledge of mechanical equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
- Demonstrable commitment to working safely at all times.
- Flexible and able to meet company and project requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and disciplines in a multicultural environment.
- Confident and able to work unsupervised using own initiative.
- Strong desire to learn and develop within the role.
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule when required.
- Proactive approach to continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ability to work within company plant management systems and processes (training will be provided).
