Construction Superintendent

Overview

RJS Construction is a woman/ Indian/ family-owned construction company that provides construction services to government agencies. RJS has multiple projects throughout the Midwest. This superintendent position is for a ground-up 14,500 square foot detention facility in Quinault, Washington. The construction duration is expected to 1.5 years.

• Understand and construct new buildings from the ground up through final completion.
• Lead safety initiatives: conduct safety meetings and ensure safety practices on site.
• Communicate with all team members including Owner/owner’s representative, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
• Hold weekly progress meetings and maintain alignment with the master schedule, including a three-week look-ahead schedule.
• Manage site activities, coordinate trades, and supervise multiple tasks to meet project milestones.
• Provide on-site leadership for a ground-up construction project and ensure work quality and compliance.

• Minimum 10 years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience constructing new buildings and remodels;
  Journeyman carpenter preferred.
• Physically fit to lift 50 pounds, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to access government sites.
• Ability to pass a government background check.
• Experience in federal construction projects or government-related work is helpful.
• Safety-minded self-starter with the ability to supervise multiple tasks and teams.
