Monday–Friday, day shift (some flexibility considered)
Pay Details
Local Pay (within 50 miles of Aberdeen, WA)
$70/hour
Travel Pay Package (50+ miles from Aberdeen, WA)
$78/hour blended
- Taxable hourly wage: $43.75/hr
- Weekly housing stipend: $770
- Weekly meals & incidentals stipend: $602
- Total weekly gross: $3,122
- Mileage reimbursement included for required float to Shelton, WA
Position Overview
The Dental Hygienist will provide routine and preventive dental care to incarcerated adults within the Washington State Department of Corrections. This role supports basic dental services for a stable patient population. No oral surgery is performed at this facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings including prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance
- Conduct oral health assessments and charting
- Take and process dental radiographs
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and preventive care
- Assist in maintaining infection control standards and sterilization of equipment
- Collaborate with the on-site dentist and clinical team to support patient care needs
- Document all care provided in accordance with facility and state guidelines
Requirements
- Active Washington State Dental Hygienist license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Previous clinical hygiene experience preferred
- Ability to work independently in a correctional healthcare environment
- Willingness to float to Shelton, WA as needed

The Dental Hygienist performs as part of a dental health team under the supervision of a dentist. Involvement includes clinical dental work and education with specific responsibilities governed by the state in which the hygienist is employed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current Registered License for the state in which practicing.
- A minimum of one year experience as a Dental Hygienist Preferred.
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
