Base

Location:

You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations:
Glasgow, Aberdeen, Montrose, Perth or Reading whilst other SSER locations can be considered.

Salary: £44,000 - £65,900 + car /car allowance- if applicable + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Fixed Term Contract (12 months) or Secondment | Full time | Flexible First options available.

The role

SSE Renewables are currently looking for an Environmental Manager to support the Seagreen Offshore Wind Farm. As Environmental Manager, you will provide expert environmental support to SSE Renewables’ largest operational site in Scotland. The role provides specialist environmental support to the Site, focusing on environmental governance, discharge of consent conditions, ongoing consents management, and delivery of environmental monitoring. You will liaise with the site-based team in Montrose, including visits to the Site, while also liaising with internal stakeholders such as engineering teams.

You

will
  • Be the environmental main point of contact for the Seagreen site, managing environmental performance.
  • Maintain compliance obligations and commitments against licences and consents, including post-consent plans.
  • Deliver the post-construction monitoring programmes, by liaising with external vendors and parties.
  • Monitor and vary Marine Licences as required to ensure operational and maintenance activities are undertaken in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with stakeholders including regulatory authorities, environmental agencies and internal colleagues on environmental, land and fisheries matter.
You have
  • Experience in environmental management, with knowledge of environmental legislation, policy and regulatory frameworks.
  • Background working on marine or offshore projects (renewables experience welcome but not essential).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and build strong working relationships.
  • Strong communication skills, with confidence engaging internal and external stakeholders including regulators.
  • A proactive and inclusive approach, with a focus on continuous improvement and sharing lessons learned.
