JOB SUMMARY The MRI Technologist operates MRI equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the body for diagnostic purposes as requested by physicians.
Key Responsibilities- Perform MRI procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during the examination.
- Operate and maintain MRI scanners and associated equipment.
- Prepare patients for MRI scans, including explaining the procedure and answering questions.
- Administer contrast media as directed and according to protocol.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control standards.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current BLS certification.
- State‑specific MRI Technologist license or certification, if applicable.
- BLS
- Experience performing MRI procedures.
- Proficient in MRI operation and imaging techniques.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Ability to administer contrast media.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Experience with PACS and RIS systems.
