What You'll Do

As our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you'll provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and therapeutic support for patients across a wide range of behavioral health conditions.

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication assessments
  • Provide crisis intervention and stabilization when appropriate
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and ongoing medication management
  • Prescribe psychotropic medications within state and federal regulations
  • Interpret diagnostic testing including laboratory studies and EKGs
  • Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, psychiatrists, and community partners
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment and medications
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic medical records
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary care planning
  • Help shape best practices and improve behavioral health services across our organization

Qualifications
  • Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
  • Washington State licensure (or ability to obtain)
  • Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
  • Valid Washington Driver's License and insurable driving record
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Psychiatric assessment and diagnosis
    • Psychopharmacology
    • Serious mental illness and developmental disorders
    • Behavioral health treatment modalities
    • Crisis stabilization
    • HIPAA and patient confidentiality
    • Washington State (RCW/WAC) and federal regulations
  • Ability to:
    • Build trusting therapeutic relationships
    • Work effectively within an integrated healthcare team
    • Demonstrate excellent communication and clinical judgment
    • Practice with professionalism, empathy, and strong ethical boundaries
    • Provide culturally responsive and trauma-informed care
    • Prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five or more years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
  • Experience in integrated behavioral health or community health settings
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI) experience or willingness to learn
  • Experience serving culturally diverse populations
