The Area Manager – Southern Washington at Girl Scouts of Western Washington (GSWW) leads membership growth, volunteer support, and community engagement primarily within the communities of Grays Harbor, Pacific, Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, and Lewis Counties. This role is responsible for recruiting and retaining girls and volunteers, building strong community partnerships, and serving as the primary support partner for volunteers through coaching, problem-solving, and connection to council tools and resources.

The Area Manager works across teams to deliver responsive service, strengthen the volunteer experience, and help create inclusive, welcoming opportunities for girls and families.

This is a regular, full-time (40 hours per week), non-exempt hybrid role that requires residency in Washington State, preferably within the communities of focus that it serves. Ideal candidates would live in or near Aberdeen, Cathlamet, Chehalis, Kelso, Montesano or South Bend. Some work may be conducted remotely, but successful candidates must be willing and able to travel regularly and work from GSWW offices, community locations, and other worksites as needed or requested.

While the full pay range is $31.85 to $35.83, this position will start at $31.85 per hour for purposes of internal pay equity.

  • Develops and implements year-round strategies to recruit, retain, and engage girls and volunteers based on community needs, demographic data, and membership trends within assigned service areas.
