Med/Surg RN Qualifications (Requirements)- Active Washington State RN license or valid multi-state (compact) RN license with required verifications
- Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg RN experience in an acute care/hospital setting
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Completion of approved 6-hour suicide prevention training
- Familiarity with Meditech is helpful (but not required)
- Team player mindset and willingness to float to other departments as needed
- Provide high-quality clinical nursing care to adult patients on a medical-surgical unit
- Collaborate with physicians, RNs, CNAs, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Perform accurate and timely documentation of nursing assessments, interventions, and care plans
- Participate in department rotations and assist with patient transfers when required
- Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols
- Deliver compassionate patient- and family-centered care during all phases of hospitalization
- A reliable Med/Surg travel nurse who adapts well to new clinical environments
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills in an acute care setting
- Commitment to best practices in nursing and patient safety
