Job Title
Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery Nurse
Job SummaryOur healthcare facility in Aberdeen, WA is seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery Nurse. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support throughout the labor and delivery process. They must be able to identify any potential complications and respond with timely and effective interventions. A compassionate and respectful demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a strong sense of teamwork are key characteristics of the ideal candidate.
Responsibilitiesand Duties
- Provide comprehensive prenatal, labor, and postpartum care to patients
- Assess fetal and maternal vital signs and monitor the progress of labor
- Administer medications and pain management techniques as necessary
- Respond quickly and appropriately to any signs of fetal distress or other complications
- Communicate effectively with the patient, their families, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families throughout the process
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on the latest developments in obstetric nursing
- Active and unrestricted RN license in Washington State
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Strong knowledge of obstetrics and gynecology
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure with a high degree of accuracy
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
