Requirements:

• Current Washington State NA-C Certification
• One year of acute care or long-term care experience preferred
• Current BLS Certification
• Ability to lift 40 pounds from floor to waist
• Ability to lift 40 pounds from wheelchair to bed level
• Ability to lift 5 pounds overhead
• Ability to pull 40 pounds from stretcher to bed
• Ability to push a 150-pound loaded stretcher 300 feet
• Flexibility: kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, squatting, climbing onto stretcher or bed
• Auditory ability to effectively perform procedures and take adequate blood pressures
• Adequate vision to observe patients and perform minimal charting activities
• Ability to work as part of a team

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities.
• Monitor and report patient's vital signs and changes in condition.
• Support the nursing staff in delivering coordinated patient care.
• Assist with mobility and transfers of patients.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
