Gray skies and timber history define Aberdeen, WA, the working harbor town where Kurt Cobain grew up and the tall ship Lady Washington moors when not sailing. The local hospital serves Grays Harbor's coastal communities, keeping emergency and inpatient assignments in rotation for travel nurses willing to embrace the rain. Ocean Shores' long sand beaches sit twenty-five minutes west. The Olympic Peninsula's beaches, rainforest valleys, and lake country all open within an hour's drive, which makes the area a base camp disguised as a mill town.
Housing is inexpensive by any Washington standard, a genuine outlier in this state. RNs who like moody coastlines, low costs, and quiet contracts tend to thrive on this one.
