Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract specializing in Medical-Surgical care. The role requires managing a diverse patient population while ensuring high-quality clinical outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical setting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float to other departments as needed to support staffing needs.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including approved suicide prevention training.
• Document patient information accurately using Meditech or comparable electronic health records.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and update families about condition changes.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Washington State or multi-state nursing license with valid verification.
• Complete approved 6-hour suicide prevention training.
• Possess current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Demonstrate the ability to work as a team and adapt to different department needs.
• Reliable with excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
• Knowledge of Meditech is helpful but not required.
