General Summary

The Sales Associate will assist with receiving, stocking, pricing merchandise and maintain a clean, orderly store presentation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Customer Service:
    Provide a positive representation of Westlake Ace Hardware, greet customers, solve problems, answer calls promptly, forward complaints to management, maintain strong product knowledge and store layout awareness, offer customized personal service.
  • Store Operations:
    Assist with receiving, checking in, stocking merchandise, maintaining back stock levels, daily upkeep of sales floor, stock room, outdoor area; support end‑caps and ad merchandise; reset merchandise; assist Department Specialists with price changes and special orders; keep signage current; operate forklift with proper training.
  • Communications:
    Report Store Support Center issues to the General Manager, convey merchandising or sales ideas, participate in store meetings.
  • General:
    Be professional in appearance and actions, perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Skills, Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Formal retail experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs, and climb.
Compensation

$17.13–$17.20 per hour.
