The Floor Supervisor will assist with managing overall store operations and assume primary responsibility for store operations in the absence of the General Manager and/or Assistant Managers. The Floor Supervisor will also assist in managing and directing staff to achieve company goals and objectives.

• Customer Service
  • Project a positive representation of Ace Retail Group.
  • Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
  • Greet customers entering the store and thank them when they leave.
  • Project a friendly, outgoing demeanor toward customers and associates.
  • Ensure all calls and pages are answered promptly, courteously, and effectively.
  • Resolve customer complaints and work to resolve issues with Ace Retail Group’s best interest in mind.
  • Possess excellent product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and product location.
• Store Operations
  • Ensure a positive, professional and safe work environment for all associates.
  • Supervise general operations of the entire store.
  • Responsible for opening and closing procedures.
  • Assist with the implementation of Store Support Center programs.
  • Help ensure successful Loss Prevention, Safety, and Internal Audits.
  • Assist the General Manager and Assistant Manager on all aspects of running the store.
  • Communicate operational or managerial issues to the General Manager promptly.
  • Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor areas.
  • Help ensure weekly price changes and label updates are completed timely and accurately.
  • Assist with cashiering functions including training, maintenance, audits, and reports.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Inventory & Merchandising
  • Ensure forklift operations and receiving are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise is done completely.
  • Assist with maintenance of back stock levels.
  • Assist to ensure cycle counts and negative on hand reports are completed timely and accurately.
  • Assist with merchandise resets throughout the store.
  • Ensure all signage is current.
  • Present a clean and orderly sales floor including end caps and promotional merchandising.
• Leadership
  • Manage all aspects of store operations in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant Manager.
  • Lead by example; be approachable by all associates and customers.
  • Assist in training all associates.
  • Participate in store meetings.
  • Communicate merchandising, cost control, or sales ideas to the General Manager for follow up.
  • Partner with the General Manager and Assistant Manager to prepare for advancement.

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, manufacturing assembly directions, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Proficiency in arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
