CCSWW’s Family Behavioral Health is looking for a Parent Partner to join a team of innovators who work in families’ homes, the community, and an office site.

Job Summary

Peer Counselors (Parent Partners) collaborate with families and team members to facilitate services for youth receiving Family Behavioral Health Services. Using their own parenting experience, they help parents voice perspectives that inform treatment planning and support families on a recovery journey.

Responsibilities

Peer Counselors (Parent Partners) are individuals who have personally experienced having a child served by behavioral health, child welfare, medical coordination, or juvenile justice services. They use that lived experience to build support with families and to disclose personal experiences with youth, parents, and other team members.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Age 21 or older.
  • Personal (lived) experience as a parent of a child who has been or is receiving community or mental health services within the past ten years.
  • Ability to drive to family homes with reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance with an acceptable driving record per CCS policy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to visually assess safety within family homes and the community.
  • Availability to flex some work hours.
  • Demonstrate the attitudes, knowledge, and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in multicultural situations.
  • Successful completion of required background clearances before an offer is made.
  • Support and uphold the mission, beliefs, and values of Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services.

Pay and Additional Compensation
  • Starting Pay Range: $25.18–$27.07 per hour.
  • First Responder pay may be available: $75.00 per pay period (twice per month).
  • Additional pay earned based on performance.
Training and Supervision
  • Extensive training (e.g., WISe, De‑Escalation, etc.).
  • Daily supervision and support as needed.
