Class 2 Driver

We are currently recruiting a Class 2 Driver for our client on an ad‑hoc basis to start next week – week beginning 15/06.

We are seeking a reliable and professional Class 2 Driver for cover for one of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of goods while maintaining excellent customer service standards and ensuring compliance with all transport regulations.

• Operate a Class 2 (Category
  
  C) vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections within allocated timescales.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Ensure all deliveries are accurately documented and signed for where required.
• Load and unload goods safely, using appropriate equipment when necessary.
• Comply with all Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and Road Transport regulations.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers and clients.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Possess a valid UK Class 2 (Category
  
  C) driving licence.
• Have good knowledge of UK driving regulations and road safety requirements.
• Demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Show strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Have a good level of physical fitness for loading and unloading duties where required.
