We are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician on behalf of a reputable franchise-approved car dealership group in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and qualified motor trade professional to join a busy Service Department within a well-established business.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs on a range of vehicles, adhering to manufacturer's standards
  • Accurately identify mechanical and electrical issues and report findings to the Aftersales Manager
  • Ensure all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety procedures
  • Comply with all health and safety protocols established by the dealership and manufacturers
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
  • Uphold excellent customer service standards during vehicle handovers
  • Support team goals and work towards individual targets
Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Fully qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Minimum one to two years' practical experience as a Vehicle Technician in a franchise dealership or similar environment
  • Current UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Ability to produce high-quality work consistently in a busy environment
  • Motivated, committed, and a team player
  • MOT Smart Card is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong diagnostics and repair skills, with attention to detail
