As a Site Operative at FCC Environment, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient operation of our landfill and waste management site. You will operate heavy plant machinery, assist with waste acceptance activities, and help maintain site equipment and facilities to the highest standards. You'll be part of a team committed to delivering excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety requirements.

- Ensuring site operations comply with environmental permits, company procedures and health and safety legislation.
- Carrying out daily equipment checks, basic maintenance, refuelling, lubrication and cleaning of machinery.
- Reporting equipment faults, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions promptly.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across the site, including welfare areas.
- Supporting waste acceptance activities and identifying non-conforming waste where required.
- Providing excellent customer service to site visitors and customers.
- Assisting with weighbridge cover when required (full training provided).
- Undertaking general labouring duties and other reasonable tasks as required by management. What Are We Looking For? - D6 (crawler/dozer) plant qualification/ticket essential.
- Excavator and/or tractor experience desirable.
- Previous experience of working on a waste acceptance, landfill or soils site desirable.
- Understanding of landfill operations.
- Relevant plant tickets and willingness to undertake further training.
- Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A reliable, punctual and hardworking approach.
