Radiologic Technologist / CT Tech
The MRI technologist performs MRI procedures on all patient populations (neonate through geriatric) and exhibits superior levels of customer service. The technologist effectively operates MRI equipment to produce quality images in a variety of settings (Radiology Department and the Imaging Center). The technologist explains procedures to the patient, answers questions for the patient, and ensures patient comfort. Regarding patient safety, the technologist will use proper positioning with the appropriate coil and research implanted devices as needed.
The technologist adjusts equipment controls to set protocol factors based on knowledge of the procedure and established guidelines. The technologist assists the Radiologist, when necessary. The technologist interacts with numerous computer programs and systems on a daily basis.
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) program
One year hospital experience preferred
Required Registration/License/CertificationRegistered or registry eligible American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Magnetic Resonance (MR) Certification
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiography (R) credential and Kansas State Board of Healing Arts (KSBHA) Radiologic Technologist (LRT) licensure preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 90 days of date of hire
