About the Role
As a Service Employee, you will play a key role in our chocolate production process. You will be responsible for packaging, inspecting and palletizing each product to meet our "Only the Finest" standards. The position ensures a clean, safe work environment, promotes collaboration, and offers cross‑functional training. This is a Temporary/Seasonal role in our facility.
Responsibilities- Operate equipment and tools safely and proficiently per company standards.
- Inspect, receive, deliver, secure, and maintain product (raw or finished) following Russell Stover guidelines.
- Inspect finished candy as it exits cooling tunnels; transfer candy from conveyor belt to trays and place trays in steels.
- Monitor candy weight, seal and secure boxes, and transfer them to pallets.
- Maintain records and perform all required activities of other team members.
- Perform clean‑up tasks as assigned.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure product quality and comply with food‑safety standards.
- Complete and follow FSQA training and programs to meet regulatory requirements and support food safety and quality objectives.
- Report and address food‑safety hazards, process deviations, or non‑conformities to the designated supervisor promptly.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the food‑safety culture through engagement and actions aligned with your role.
Typical hours: 3:45 pm – 2:15 am, Monday through Thursday. Overtime may be required during peak season.
Basic Qualifications- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to speak, read, and write fluent English.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and routinely stand, stoop, bend, and lift overhead.
- Ability to stand on hard surfaces for the duration of the shift.
- High School diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Ability to read and understand rulers, tape measures, scales, and thermometers.
- Ability to read and understand product specifications and recognize deviations.
- Experience operating a scan gun.
- Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
