Accountant, Tax Accountant, Financial Reporting

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant with a minimum of 2 years of tax experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and supporting financial reporting and accounting functions.

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and/or business tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Prepare tax estimates, extensions, and quarterly tax filings.
• Assist with tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
• Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Respond to tax notices and communicate with tax authorities as needed.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Stay current on changes in tax laws and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with clients or internal departments to resolve accounting and tax-related issues.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of professional tax experience in public accounting or a corporate tax environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with tax preparation software is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
