About This Role

Do you love bringing order to details while making a meaningful impact? As our Accounting & Development Specialist, you'll play a key role in keeping both our financial operations and fundraising efforts running smoothly. From processing financial transactions to maintaining donor records, your work will directly support our mission and help ensure we can continue changing lives throughout our community.

If you're organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy balancing accounting with purpose-driven work, this is an opportunity to build a rewarding career where every day makes a difference.

What You'll Do

You'll be at the center of both our accounting and development operations by:

  • Processing daily financial receipts and preparing reconciliation reports.
  • Managing accounts payable and inventory accounting for our Audiology department.
  • Recording invoices, credit memos, inventory adjustments, and monthly accruals.
  • Maintaining accurate donor records and ensuring fundraising data stays current and reliable.
  • Processing gifts, donations, auctions, and fundraising transactions with accuracy.
  • Supporting donor acknowledgments, reporting, and stewardship efforts.
  • Collaborating with Finance, Development, Donor Relations, and leadership teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance data accuracy.
  • Assisting with additional accounting and administrative projects as needed.
What Makes This Role Different

This isn't your typical accounting position. Here, your work extends beyond balancing numbers—you'll help support the fundraising efforts that make our mission possible.

  • A unique combination of accounting, donor relations, and database management.
  • The opportunity to work alongside multiple departments and make a visible impact across the organization.
  • A mission-driven culture where teamwork, integrity, and excellence are at the heart of everything we do.
  • A workplace that values both professional growth and having fun while making a difference.
  • The satisfaction of knowing your attention to detail helps improve lives every single day.
Why You'll Love Working Here

When you join our team, you're joining an organization committed to doing the right thing—for our patients, our donors, and each other. We believe in collaboration, integrity, excellence, and creating a workplace where people enjoy coming to work because they know they're making a real difference.

If you're ready to combine your accounting expertise with a mission that matters, we'd love to meet you!

  • Accounting, bookkeeping, or General Ledger experience or education.
  • Experience with data entry and financial recordkeeping.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work independently while thriving as part of a collaborative team.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
