BIG COUNTRY TITLE seeks a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing Accounting & Finance team. Reporting directly to the VP of Accounting & Finance, this position will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records across multiple companies.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing recurring accounting responsibilities while helping improve processes and efficiency as our organization continues to grow.
What You'll Do- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Process and reconcile company credit card transactions
- Perform bank and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end close and financial reporting
- Support accounting operations across multiple entities
- Work within Quick Books Online and other software
- Support year-end reporting, 1099 preparation, and CPA requests
- Identify discrepancies and help strengthen accounting controls
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent accounting experience
- Experience with AP, AR, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Staff Accountant, Accounting Specialist, or Full-Charge Bookkeeper experience
- Multi-entity accounting experience
- Month-end close experience
- Payroll and intercompany accounting experience
