Major / Essential Duties of the Job- Sign for all accountable mail.
- Sort and distribute all mail including campus mail.
- Write notification cards and get signatures for all packages.
- Sell stamps, money orders, etc. and assist customers as needed.
- Weigh and meter all outgoing mail.
- Charge departments for postage used & run daily postage report.
- Maintain accurate stamp inventory.
- Issue post office boxes to students and maintain filing records for post office boxes currently in use.
- Follow USPS Dangerous Goods and Export Compliance safety regulations.
- Separate and forward mail as necessary.
- Return mail & forward mail in accordance with USPS regulations.
- Run bulk mailings.
- Complete daily financial report (Form 1412-B) as required by USPS and deposit into USPS bank account when required.
- Pick up mail at the Southern Hills branch Post Office when assigned.
Temporary forwarding of mail in summer months. Cover Print Shop as needed. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Post Office Supervisor and/or Vice President of Information & Support Services.
Required Education / ExperienceHigh School Diploma/GED
Basic Computer Skills RequiredBasic Computer Skills Required.
OtherJob Requirements
Must be able to do some lifting, able to multi-task, and detail oriented.
Preferred Education / ExperienceAt least one year of customer service experience desired or previous mail room experience.
