Back Parts Counter Representative

Hiring Location Abilene, TXPay $18 - $25 / HOUR Yellowhouse Machinery in Abilene, TX is seeking a motivated and organized Parts Back Counter Representative to support communication and workflow between our Parts and Service Departments. This individual will play a key role in assisting technicians with parts ordering, receiving, inventory control, and overall shop efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and preferably prior experience in heavy equipment, automotive, or dealership parts operations.

Pay Range: $18–$25/hour based on experience.

Essential Responsibilities Assist service technicians with identifying, sourcing, and ordering parts needed for repairs and work orders

Receive and verify incoming parts orders for accuracy and timeliness

Coordinate communication between Parts and Service Departments to ensure efficient workflow

Monitor and assist with inventory control and stock organization

Research parts availability, pricing, and lead times

Maintain accurate documentation and update internal systems as needed

Assist in expediting urgent parts requests to minimize technician downtime

Support cleanliness and organization of the parts and service areas

Build positive working relationships with technicians, service management, and customers

Help ensure technicians receive the correct parts in a timely manner to improve overall shop productivity

Preferred Qualifications Previous parts department, inventory control, or dealership experience preferred

Heavy equipment, agricultural, automotive, or diesel industry knowledge preferred

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Basic computer skills and ability to learn dealership management systems

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple moving parts

Team-oriented attitude with willingness to support both Parts and Service Departments

Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday

Ability to work in a shop and warehouse environment
