Position Summary
Senior Technician – Sign on Bonus of $2,000 (for first time hires). The Senior Technician position requires technical expertise to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while mentoring a team to enhance customer care and satisfaction. Pay is based on a flat‑rate model: predetermined amounts per eligible task, rewarding efficiency and skill. Pay range: $18.54 – $31.55 per hour.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair to specifications: brakes and hydraulics, exhaust, primary and advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
- Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non‑mechanical individuals.
- Stay current with automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
- Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
- Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within the first two years of employment.
- Valid automobile driver’s license at all times and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
- Demonstrated skill in brakes and hydraulics systems and/or steering, suspension, and alignments.
- Proficiency in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
- Current federal, state, and local certification/license where applicable.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical people.
- Reading, writing, and math skills.
- 3+ years automotive repair experience.
- Demonstrated skills via third‑party assessments or certifications.
- Completion of a Vocational‑Technical School Program.
- A.S.E. certification in at least one of A1–A8 (L1 certification acceptable).
