This position is on-site at Dyess Air Force Base near Abilene, TX. The Inventory Control Clerk position shall manage, monitor, distribute, and track the inventory for dormitory related furnishings for a warehouse and 12 dormitories on Dyess AFB.
DisclosureThis position is for a contract in which the Company is pursuing. This position will be available upon successful contract award to the Company. The government has not provided an official start date for this contract, but the current contract expires September. Therefore, we anticipate an expected start date of September 2026.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Ability to manage, inventory and distribute furnishings located in warehouse and 12 dormitories on Dyess AFB.
- Ability to conduct physical inventories as described in AFI 32-6000.
- Ability to request, receive, issue, store, and coordinate delivery and pickup of all Government‑owned furnishings used in authorized facilities within established timelines.
- Ability to identify and report suspected abuse or loss of property for items damaged, destroyed, or lost.
- Ability to purchase, receipt, issue, installation, warranty tracking, maintenance, repair, and replacement.
- Ability to prepare and update annually one‑ and five‑year long‑range furnishings plans.
- Ability to submit furnishings budgets to the Housing Chief as required.
- Must have 2+ years of professional relevant experience related to oversight and management of inventory, tracking, monitoring, and repair/replacement of furnishings for government provided warehouses and dormitories.
- Proficient technical experience working with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license to utilize a motor vehicle to navigate through Dyess AFB.
- Possession of vocational or degreed post high‑school education (associate or bachelor’s degree) in a relevant field such as interior design or interior architecture.
This position primarily operates in a professional office setting with standard office equipment and a quiet, climate‑controlled environment. While in the office, there is no regular exposure to loud noise, hazardous materials, or heavy machinery. This role also requires periodic travel to project sites, including locations undergoing renovation or active construction. During site visits, the employee may be exposed to non‑temperature‑controlled environments, construction noise, dust, and other typical conditions found on job sites.
Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required during these visits, depending on site conditions. While on site visits, an individual in this role will be required to work atypical hours at the request of the client or role demands.
