Safety Coordinator

Vanguard Maintenance & Electrical is a non-union electrical contractor performing large-scale commercial and data center work. We take safety seriously and are looking for a Safety Coordinator who can support fast-paced, high-profile data center projects while working directly with field leadership.

The Safety Coordinator supports and enforces company and client safety requirements on data center construction sites. This role is hands‑on and field-focused, working closely with supervisors, foremen, and crews to maintain a strong safety culture.

• Conduct routine safety inspections and audits on active data center job sites
• Enforce OSHA standards, client safety requirements, and company policies
• Assist with site-specific safety plans, JSAs/JHAs, and pre-task planning
• Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and jobsite safety meetings
• Track and document incidents, near misses, and corrective actions
• Assist with accident investigations and root cause analysis
• Maintain OSHA logs, training records, and safety documentation
• Work collaboratively with project management and field leadership

• 2+ years of construction safety experience (electrical or data center preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations
• OSHA 30 required (or ability to obtain quickly)
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Comfortable working in active data center construction environments
• Ability to work occasional overtime and weekends as required
