Safety Technician

SAFETY TECHNICIAN: RENTECH BOILERS SYSTEMS, INC.

The Safety Technicians role exists to promote and augment safety on jobsites to the highest level. To reach this level, the Safety Technician must work both independently and together with the EHandS Manager to create a safe workplace environment, using OSHA Standards and State and Local Regulations.

• Conduct inspections of the site to verify compliance and identify unsafe conditions.
• Maintain documentation necessary to comply with the Site Safety Management Plan, OSHA, and other applicable regulations.
• Work with the EHS Manager to enforce safety policies and procedures that help prevent accidents.
• Verify that subcontractors are monitoring the implementation of the Site Safety Management Plan.
• Adapt to a flexible, fast-paced, and dynamic work environment.

• Implement written site safety management plan.
• Understand construction environment and risks present.
• Comprehend Health and Safety OSHA rules applicable to construction.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Use Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Power Point.
• Be organized.
• Have strong computer and presentation skills.
• Be a team player.
• Have a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Have at least 2 years of related experience.
