Contracts Manager - Data Center Construction
The successful candidate will work with a specialist team to deliver strategic procurement and contract advice for major construction projects.
Responsibilities- Fulfilling the responsibilities of a Contracts Manager including contract strategy development and implementation.
- Supporting the delivery of contracting strategies for major construction projects using privately funded delivery models.
- Providing specialist contract and procurement advice to private sector healthcare construction clients.
- Drafting Requests for Proposals (RFPs), evaluation scorecards and contracts and supporting vendor procurement processes.
- Developing contract structures for multi-packaging scenarios on complex projects with multiple contract interfaces.
- Providing end-to-end procurement services on major construction and construction‑services projects.
- Building positive relationships within the project team and with client personnel and key advisors.
- Managing and updating internal contract team trackers, reviewing SOWs and MPA proposals.
- Supporting the delivery of team and wider business targets.
- Adhering to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
- Experience working in multiple contract environments and under a range of procurement/contract delivery routes.
- Degree or equivalent in construction or a related field.
- Confident, independent, able to work autonomously.
- Ability to engage in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- At least 3–5 years’ experience in the construction industry and/or contract services to public or private clients for large‑scale capital investment projects.
- Working knowledge and experience of various forms of construction contracts.
- Experience in a multi‑contract environment.
- Desirable: experience in the development and procurement of GMPs/Lump Sum or similar project‑financed projects.
- Experience supporting contract development and administration across healthcare, retrofits and real estate sectors.
- Experience implementing contracting strategies, including risk identification, quantification and allocation.
- Experience in contract development, drafting bespoke contract schedules and clauses and reviewing contracts prepared by others.
- Managing inputs from technical, legal and commercial/financial teams.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders to develop robust contract documents.
