Senior Project Manager – Mission Critical Construction

A leading national design-build mechanical contractor is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support a large-scale mission critical project in Abilene, Texas
.

This role will oversee complex mechanical and MEP scopes on one of the industry's fastest-growing sectors—data center construction. The ideal candidate will bring strong project leadership experience, financial acumen, and a proven track record delivering large-scale commercial, industrial, or mission critical projects from preconstruction through closeout.

What You'll Do
  • Lead all aspects of project execution including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, risk management, and client communication
  • Manage project financial performance, forecasts, change orders, and cost controls
  • Coordinate with operations, field leadership, engineering, VDC, subcontractors, and owners
  • Drive schedule adherence and project milestones while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Mentor project engineers and project management staff
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, trade partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Support successful turnover and commissioning activities on complex MEP systems
What We're Looking For
  • 8+ years of project management experience within mechanical construction, MEP contracting, mission critical, industrial, or large commercial construction
  • Strong knowledge/experience with complex MEP systems required
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction operations, procurement, scheduling, and cost management
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with mission critical, data center, semiconductor, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, or highly technical construction projects is highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
