Primoris Heavy Civil is looking for skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to join our growing team in heavy highway construction for our Abilene, TX location. Project start date:

Job Description

Heavy equipment operators will need to have experience operating equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, motor graders, backhoes, GOMACO paving spreaders, and compactors in a safe and efficient manner.

• Perform equipment inspections and may be required to perform daily maintenance of equipment (such as greasing/lubing).
• Operate construction equipment in a labor-intensive environment and in all types of weather conditions.
• Work independently in a team and maintain a safety-focused approach.
• Demonstrate mechanical inclination as an asset.

• Must be able to climb ladders, and work from stationary platforms from elevated heights.
• Must be able to hear and distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty.
• Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach and crawl.
• Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in all outdoor elements for extended periods of time.
• Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts.

  industrial construction sites and/or fabrication shop
• Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: obstructed pathways; work performed at low and/or high elevations; work performed in confined areas
• Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: predominantly outdoor climate; may be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather; various noise levels; potential exposure to chemical substances
