Worship Pastor

Position Summary

Trinity Abilene is seeking a passionate, Christ-centered Worship Pastor who will lead our church in worship while also serving as a pastoral leader. This role goes beyond musical leadership. This person will disciple, mentor, and shepherd both the worship team and the broader congregation. The Worship Pastor will integrate spiritual formation with excellence in worship, helping the church grow in faith and Christlikeness.

• Worship Leadership:
  Plan and lead weekly worship services, selecting songs that align with sermon themes and church vision.
• Pastoral Care & Discipleship:
  Invest in the spiritual growth of the worship team and church members through mentoring, prayer, and discipleship.
• Teaching & Development:
  Equip and train worship volunteers and leaders, providing guidance in both musical and spiritual development.
• Team Leadership:
  Recruit, train, and shepherd worship volunteers, fostering a healthy, Christ-centered team culture.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with pastoral staff, creative teams, and ministry leaders to plan services, events, and special worship gatherings.
• Technology & Production Oversight:
  Ensure worship technology and production (sound, lighting, multimedia) supports an engaging and spiritually meaningful worship experience.
• Spiritual Formation:
  Model a lifestyle of prayer, study, and service, encouraging the congregation to pursue intimacy with God through worship.
• Vision Alignment:
  Help articulate and implement the church’s worship vision in a way that supports overall ministry goals.

• Deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ and evidence of a Christ-centered, pastoral lifestyle. Proven leadership experience in worship ministry and spiritual development of others.
• Strong ability to disciple, teach, and shepherd volunteers and church members.
• Skilled musician and/or vocalist with proficiency in contemporary worship styles.
• Knowledge of worship technology and production.
• Strong organizational, communication, and team-building skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with pastoral staff and church leadership.

• Degree in Music, Worship Ministry, Theology, or related field.
• Experience leading diverse worship styles and engaging multiple age groups. Prior experience in pastoral leadership, teaching, or ministry development.

• Servant leadership and humility.
• Passion for biblical worship integrated with spiritual formation. Commitment to discipleship and seeing lives transformed by Christ.
