Abilene Sports Medicine & Orthopedics – Total Joint Orthopedic Surgeon

Abilene Sports Medicine & Orthopedics (ASMO) is seeking a fellowship-trained or fellowship-eligible Orthopedic Total Joint Surgeon to join a well-established, physician-led practice in West Texas. This is a strong opportunity to step into immediate surgical volume with a built-in referral base and the ability to develop a focused adult reconstruction practice.

The opportunity is anchored in total joint reconstruction, with consistent demand for hip and knee procedures. The incoming surgeon will have the support to build a high-volume elective practice while also maintaining a balanced scope of general orthopedics, if desired.

You will be joining a collaborative team that values access, efficiency, and patient-centered care. The practice offers strong clinical autonomy with the infrastructure and support needed to grow quickly and sustainably.

Abilene Sports Medicine & Orthopedics has been serving the West Texas community since 2004 and is known for delivering high-quality orthopedic care across a wide range of specialties. The group has built a strong reputation throughout the region and continues to experience steady growth driven by community need.

What you can expect:

  • Immediate patient volume with strong referral patterns
  • Dedicated operating room access and ASC opportunities
  • Partnership track with long-term growth potential
  • Collaborative, physician-led environment
  • Supportive administrative and clinical infrastructure

Location:

Abilene offers a welcoming, family-friendly community with a low cost of living, excellent schools, and easy access to larger metro areas across Texas. It's an ideal setting for physicians looking to build a busy practice while maintaining quality of life.

Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction / Total Joint preferred
  • Interest in building and growing a total joint practice
  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
