Basic Responsibilities:

A. Oversee the process of transfer articulation, including maintenance of the transfer articulation catalog and the Texas Common Course Numbering System, decision-making about transfer courses, and guiding academic departments through articulation procedures.

B. Advise recruiters in Admissions and Athletics to determine the applicability of transferred work to an ACU degree. Coordinate with admissions records, athletics, recruiting, ACU academic advisors and department chairs.

C. Partner with the Center for International Education and international recruiting personnel in Admissions to affect timely, but accurate, assessment of exams taken and/or credits transferred from international colleges and universities and applicability to ACU degree programs.

D. Serve as secondary Veterans’ Certification Officer, advising and monitoring the progress of veterans, preparing and submitting annual and other required reports to VA officials and agencies.  Ensure that ACU remains in compliance with VA regulations.

II.
Essential Duties include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.

A.
Oversee the process of transfer articulation, including maintenance of the transfer articulation catalog and the Texas Common Course Numbering System, decision-making about transfer courses, and guiding academic departments through articulation procedures.
1. Maintain the transfer articulation catalog, to best facilitate automated processes which will post transfer credit to student records. This includes processes which enter transfer credit onto student records.
2. Manage the Texas Common Course Numbering System for the university by sending out information regarding its revision annually and collecting responses from academic departments about necessary revisions or additions.
3. Communicate with academic personnel/advisors on specific questions involving acceptance or applicability of disputed or questionable courses, delivering equivalency evaluation requests to appropriate departments and maintaining files of returned transfer evaluation forms with course descriptions. Coordinate with department chairs and program directors as needed on equivalency questions.
4. Oversee the process of the data entry of transfer transcripts, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy. Maintain a reasonable turnaround time with regard to transfer equivalencies for both students and advisors.

B. Advise recruiting staff in the Admissions and Athletics offices regarding the applicability of transferred work to an ACU degree. Coordinate with admissions records, athletics, recruiting, ACU academic advisors and department chairs/program directors.
1. Provide documentation, counsel, and training for recruiting staff across the university (undergraduate, graduate and online admissions; international office; athletics, etc.) about the transfer articulation process and how to communicate to prospective students..
2. Partner with the admissions staff to ensure correct prioritization and timely entry of transfer work for new and transfer students at all ACU campuses.

C. Partner with the Center for International Education and international recruiting personnel in Admissions to affect timely, but accurate, assessment of exams taken and/or credits transferred from international colleges and universities and applicability to ACU degree programs.
1. Meet with the international student advisor to create and maintain temporary, fact-finding files for each international applicant who presents acceptable English documents for transcript evaluation.
2.  Research Ministry of Education (MOE) acceptability (or other) of hours from international sources, equating, if possible, and awarding credit, informing CIE of the results and posting credits, if applicable.
