Superintendent - Westbrook ISD

Candidate Profile

Westbrook ISD, an "A" rated district, is searching for a superintendent with the following qualifications:

* A valid Texas Superintendent Certification

* At least five years' classroom teaching experience and principal and/or administrative office experience preferred.

* Experience in a rural, small, or mid-size district is preferred.

* A belief in high standards and holding everyone equally accountable in reaching those goals.

* Demonstrated strong skills in leadership in respect to uniting staff, parents, and community in the pursuit of student achievement and positive district culture.

* A strong background in student performance success, educational technology and vocational programs.

* Experience working with all students.

* Integrity and exemplary moral character along with excellent people skills who leads by example. Visible throughout the community, district, and on campuses.

* A strong desire to be part of the community and the willingness to be present at extra-curricular and community events. In-district housing is provided.

* The desire and ability to work with others and willingness to develop leaders, and promote the best staff possible.

* Open communication with the Board, the administration, faculty, staff, and the community.

* Conduct Initial Interviews:

* Conduct Second Interviews and name Lone Finalist:
March 23-27, 2026

* Employ New Superintendent:
April 16, 2026
