Position Overview
ACU is affiliated with the fellowship of the Church of Christ. This position requires the employee to be a professing Christian and to be willing to support the Christian mission of ACU. The Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition at Abilene Christian University invites applications for an Associate Professor of Kinesiology to teach in the Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree.
This is a nine‑month full‑time tenure‑track faculty position beginning August 9, 2026. The department is committed to building a diverse faculty that represents our community and student population.
Responsibilities- Teach a variety of Kinesiology courses for the Bachelor of Science program.
- Mentor undergraduate students.
- Nurture experiential learning and interprofessional education.
- Commit to quality education within classroom and laboratory settings while fostering a Christ‑centered environment.
- Doctoral degree required.
- Commitment to Christ‑centered teaching and the Christian mission of ACU.
- Experience teaching undergraduate Kinesiology courses preferred; early‑career scholars who demonstrate excellence in teaching are welcome to apply.
