Head Girls Basketball Coach (Open Teaching Field) Clyde High School

Clyde CISD is seeking a dynamic, student-centered leader to serve as Head girls basketball coach at Clyde High School. This position includes an open teaching field and the opportunity to build a competitive program grounded in character, discipline, and academic success.

• Lead and manage all aspects of the girls basketball program.
• Develop athletes' skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership.
• Plan, organize, and supervise practices, games, and offseason programs.
• Foster a positive, accountable, and competitive team culture.
• Collaborate with campus and district staff to support student success.
• Maintain compliance with UIL rules and district policies.
• Engage with parents and community to build program support.

• Teach in an assigned subject area based on certification and campus needs (open field).
• Deliver high-quality, engaging instruction aligned to state standards.
• Monitor and support student academic progress, including athletes.
• Participate in PLCs and campus professional development.

• Valid Texas teaching certificate (or ability to obtain).
• Demonstrated coaching experience, preferably at the secondary level.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to developing the whole student academically and athletically.

• Head coaching experience or coordinator-level experience.
• Proven track record of program development and student-athlete success.
